BONEX, equipped with an artificial intelligence inference engine, an extensive medical knowledge-based system and an approximate reasoning scheme, goes beyond just a standard web page. The interactive program has been developed for the differential diagnosis of bone tumors. BONEX uses a non-procedural programming environment to simulate a radiologist’s logic and approach in reaching a diagnosis when viewing a radiograph. The program rapidly constructs a differential diagnosis based on pre-assigned likelihood factors of the selected features. The non-profit website is for educational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional services. The interactive program is an outstanding educational tool for radiology residents, and a valuable source of information and diagnostic aid for specialists and practitioners around the world to improve their differential diagnosis skills. The program has been presented in various international radiology conferences. Due to web hosting policies regarding some file structures, currently only non-web version of program is available.
